The Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton AW12 Show has to be one of the most lavish runway shows put on. An old train station at The Cour Carree du Louvre, Paris was stage to the LV models gliding along the runway. More like a theatre production, this show was exquisite in every aspect transporting us to nostalgic times. As an LV clock chimed, an old fashioned steam train with ‘Louis Vuitton’ printed on the sides rolled in whistling to the flashes of cameras in the audience.
Models disembarked and took a turn around the old station, followed closely behind by LV bell boys carrying beautiful bags and hat boxes -all LV of course.
The collection itself was opulent, with a mixture of sumptuous fabrics embellished with stunning jewels.
